Collared today: Moose

NAME: Moose

BREED: English Mastiff

AGE: Nine

HOME: Reisterstown

OWNER: Martha Frick Symington Sanger “Martie”

HOW WE MET: When choosing a pup from a litter of English Mastiffs I knew Moose was meant for me. As if saying “the world is too much with me,” a common feeling for writers such as myself, he was snuggled away between a kitchen wall and the refrigerator, as far as he could get from his rambunctious mates.

WEIGHT: 211 pounds

BEST TRICK: “Show me.” When Moose wants something he barks, barks, barks, usually right in my face. I say “show me” whereupon he leads me to whatever he is coveting, usually a biscuit from his cookie jar.

FAVORITE FOOD: Anything will do.

FAVORITE ACTIVITY: Smelling and smelling some more for foxes on his daily walk.

FUNNIEST MOMENT: Seeing him nose to nose with a raccoon, through a board fence.

DIVINE INTERVENTION: With Moose my life is complete.

IF MOOSE HAD A MOTTO FOR LIFE: What's the rush? I need my sleep.
