Collared today: Lacey, Marley and Hershey

NAMES: Lacey, Marley and Hershey

OWNER: The Forthman Family

HOW THEY MET: Lacey was our first family dog seven years ago, Marley followed a year later and Hershey joined us last summer. All came from the same breeder in Cecil County. With family members allergic to dogs, poodles were the breed for us (no shedding or dander).

AGE: 7, 6, and 1 1/2

HOME: Forest Hill

BREED: Standard Poodle

BEST TRICK: Lacey can turn our kitchen light switch on and off, Marley can catch any tennis ball you throw and Hershey can reach any Christmas ornament off our tree and attempt to eat it

FAVORITE ACTIVITY: Going for walks, taking the kids to school, visiting schools and nursing homes, playing fetch and tug

FAVORITE FOOD: Peanut butter and bananas

FUNNIEST MOMENT: When Marley silently opened the cabinet under our sink and retrieved the bag of dog treats. We caught him in the act.

DO-GOOD DOGS: Lacey, Marley and Hershey visit a local nursing home twice per month. The dogs love it as much as the residents. They have also been known to visit our local elementary school to read the kids “Marley and Me.” They look forward to visiting their special friends. They also get along great with our litterbox trained indoor bunny, Daphne.

IF LACEY, MARLEY AND HERSHEY HAD A MOTTO FOR LIFE, IT WOULD BE: Poodles rule!
