Every Thursday evening this summer, join the Baltimore Humane Society at Hunt Valley Towne Centre for Bark Till Dark, which offers a different expert-led program every week through August.
The whole family is invited, including dogs, and many retailers will offer discounts as part of the event.
Learn about house training, basic commands, and polite greetings. Other sessions will help you teach your dog tricks and even show you what to do about quirky pet behaviors. Retail specials run from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday, and include 10 percent off Subway when you mention Bark Till Dark and eat on the patio; free large cannoli from Vaccaro's with purchase of a pack of doggie biscotti, and 10 percent off at Pei Wei when you mention Bark Till Dark and eat on the patio.
Volunteers and adoptable pets will also be on-hand on Thursdays and Fridays during lunchtime, and some Thursday and Friday evenings.
