Port Discovery, a place my kids like but that I have always felt should include GPS trackers and earplugs with the price of admission, said today it will set aside Mondays in July and August for families and won't accept reservations from summer camps on that day of the week.
"Obviously, summer is a busy season for Port Discovery," Michelle Winner, vice president of marketing for Port Discovery, said in a statement. "To provide the best possible experience for our family visitors, we are now offering one day a week when they are welcome to enjoy our exhibits without the added crowds of camps and other groups."
And don't forget, Port Discovery also has Family Fun Night on the third Friday of the month (the next one is July 19) when general admission is only $2 per person from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is usually $13.95 per person for ages 2 and up.
