BIRTHDAY GUY: Actor Clarke Peters was born in New York City on this day in 1952. This birthday guy made a name for himself as Detective Lester Freamon on the series "The Wire" from 2002-08. He's also appeared regularly on "Damages" and "Life on Mars" and he currently stars on the series "Treme." Peters' film credits include films such as "Endgame," "Marley & Me" and "Head of State."
ARIES (March 21-April 19): Clap your hands if you believe in fairies. Like Peter Pan, you'd like to pretend you are a kid forever. Like Tinker Bell, you are easily fooled and could be tricked by someone who does not have scruples.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Tall, dark strangers could turn you on, but the feeling may not be reciprocal. The theatrical atmosphere that is building up is better used for putting on a one-act play than for dealing with real life.
GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Curb your enthusiasm. You may need to fight off an appetite for rich foods and wasteful spending. Outdoor sports or a long walk in the park will burn calories and prevent you from dwelling on misunderstandings.
CANCER (June 21-July 22): On the carousel of life, horses do not need to be fed. You might forget that some things are just imaginary. Other may inspire you today, but your partner may not share your enthusiasm.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): The fertile ground of careless hopes and wishes lets misunderstandings grow. Stick to getting things done that require focused cooperation and concrete effort; bypass expensive and extravagant purchases.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Avoid making agreements and wasting funds on impulsive purchases. Get written work and phone calls out of the way as early as possible. Social gears are grinding and expenses could mount up.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): The heart is a lonely hunter. You might have fantasies of putting the moves on a delectable romantic prospect, but you might get more or less than you bargained for. Not everything is what it seems.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Capitalize on your appeal where career and business are concerned. Your amorous mood and obvious desirability may fade by the time the person you are fantasizing about is within range.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Tell it like it is. Circumstances may create an uncertain situation, so be as honest and forthright as possible. There is a tendency to spend money on things of doubtful value or that defy logic.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): You yearn to be acceptable and respectable. A desire for approval turns you into a paragon of geekiness, but prevents you from making friends or agreeing with the boss. Balance fantasies with logic.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): You can speak your mind when you are inspired to be heard. The problem is that most people may listen with skepticism or doubt. Write down your valuable ideas or proposals for future use.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Don't let a compliment go to your head. Your charms can draw others to you like moths to flames, but the moths may simply want to chew up your wool sweater. Adoring fans may have ulterior motives.
IF APRIL 7 IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: This is your month to shine. Although you could simply bask in a feeling of contentment, you might be wise to make long range plans or put important projects into motion while the Force is with you. Embrace any opportunity or offer that comes your way this month, as it might turn out to be the goose that laid the golden egg. From mid-July through mid-August -- and again in September -- you might burn with ambition. However, those in authority might not look favorably on you or your work, so keep your nose to the grindstone and be careful not to give anyone a reason to criticize you. Avoid taking on credit card debts or entering into agreements during those time periods and by the end of the year you will be sitting pretty again.
