Baltimore County residents may drop off hazardous waste items Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Waste can be dropped off at the Western Acceptance Facility, 3310 Transway Road, located off the 4500 block of Hollins Ferry Road in Halethorpe
Items accepted include household paints and chemicals, lawn and garden chemicals, automotive fluids, cleaning solvents, swimming pool chemicals, re-chargeable batteries, medicines, mercury thermometers and thermostats, fluorescent light bulbs, fireworks and ammunition.
Baltimore County's next one-day hazardous waste collection is scheduled for April.
The county also operates a seasonal hazardous waste collection facility at the Eastern Sanitary Landfill that is open from April through November.
