A Chesapeake crab harvest history in numbers [chart]

Last year's yield of soft crabs was far below the number of landings in 2010, when Chesapeake Bay watermen took in an estimated 2.8 million lbs. -- a two-decade record. Even in that year, peelers only made up a small number of the crabs sold.
