With close to 100 clothing designers and hundreds of jewelry designers specializing in everything from enamel to metal, the American Craft Council's show at the Baltimore Convention Center will be the perfect opportunity for a fashionista to make some finds. Be sure to check out Wendy Stevens, who designs a line of metal purses that are sold locally at Paradiso and have been featured in Vogue Espana. Tamara Embrey, a Maryland-based fiber artist, takes recycled thrift-store items and transforms them into one-of-a-kind hats, scarves and dresses. Raissa Bump, who has been invited to the show by the Society of North American Goldsmiths, is popular for her knit and metal creations.
Attend the American Craft Council's show at the Baltimore Convention Center, 1 W. Pratt St., Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets range from $14-$30, and are $5 after 5 p.m. on Friday. Go to craftcouncil.org/baltimore.
