Whether you're a fan of Kate Middleton's fascinators, a William Donald Schaefer precession supporter, or a Preakness-goer, hats and other headpieces are making a comeback this season. Hats in the Belfry, a high-end hat retailer with stores in Fells Point and in the Inner Harbor, has a variety of fascinators like those made popular by Kate Middleton. The average cost ranges from $38 to $100. More expensive designs can reach $300, according to manager Keith Pfeffer. Men, don't fret. The store also carries those cooler than cool fedoras featured in "The Adjustment Bureau" and on "Mad Men." Pfeffer suggests men purchase a straw fedora for Preakness. |
