Dandy Day: A Celebration of Dandyism

Dandy Day: A Celebration of Dandyism Fashion will take a front seat at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture this weekend as Monica Miller discusses her book "Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity." Miller will be joined by the owners of Planet Maud Vintage & will discuss clothing and accessories by indie designers. Guest curator Shantrelle P. Lewis will lead tours of the gallery with Dandy Lion exhibition artists. Theatre Morgan students will perform monologues. And DJ Jahsonic will keep the event lively with music. Attend "Dandy Day: A Celebration of Dandyism" Saturday, April 28 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture, 830 E. Pratt St. $6-$8.
