Trend report: New York Fashion Week's forecast for spring 2016

If New York Fashion Week is any indication, spring and summer collections will leave shoppers with plenty of options, as designers peppered their collections with a large variety of shades of fabric, silhouettes and styles.

Although the traditional staples such as black, white, florals and pastels were in abundance, there were also sexier, daring necklines and the return of looser, roomier pants.

Here are some of the top trends from the September fashion shows in New York that will arrive in stores this spring.
