Free meals for police officers, firefighters and EMTs at Hooters on Saturday

First responders eat free at Hooters on Saturday, Oct. 28, to encourage creation of a national First Reponders Day.

Active duty EMT, firefighters and police officers in uniform or with proper ID get their choice of a free 10-piece wings, boneless wings, a Buffalo chicken sandwich or salad or Hooters Burger at participating locations.

No coupon is necessary.

Hooters is offering the free eats to thank public safety officers and encourage Congress to adopt National First Responders Day as a legal holiday, according to a news release. A bill is before the House of Representatives after being unanimously passed by the Senate when Hooters girls visited Capitol Hill last year to meet with lawmakers. True story.
