Aug. 3: Helping the homeless

About 1,000 volunteers participated in escorting one person each through various booths and services. The city and nonprofit partners hosted the Baltimore Project Homeless Connect, which offered haircuts, dental exams, health screenings, cell phones and several other resources to the homeless and low-income population in Baltimore and Baltimore County.
