It seems appropriate for a meteorologist to give birth on a dark and stormy night, and WBAL-TV’s Ava Marie did just that, making it to the hospital minutes before delivering.
The meteorologist this morning announced the birth of her second child, Jackson, on Twitter, saying “Welcome to the world Jackson! 8 lbs 5 oz.”
She also wrote that they didn’t have much time to spare in getting to the hospital, with Jackson being delivered about 15 minutes after they arrived. She added that she and her son are healthy.
Jackson joins older brother Easton, who was born in August 2015. He arrived at 7 pounds, 8 ounces.
Marie has been at WBAL since June 2011. She previously worked for AccuWeather in State College, Pa., and was on ABC’s "World News Now," "The CBS Evening News," Fox Sports Network and New England Sports Network.
She has a bachelor of science degree in meteorology from the University of Kansas.
