Prime Rib, Loch Bar among most 'charming' places in Baltimore, says InStyle magazine

Mount Vernon mainstay The Prime Rib and Harbor East’s Loch Bar are among the seven most charming spots in Baltimore, according to InStyle magazine.

The list, compiled in consultation with local interior designer Patrick Sutton (who’s designed “some of the city's coolest restaurants, distilleries, hotels, and luxury residences," according to InStyle), also includes Federal Hill’s SoBotanical apothecary shop, Hampden’s In Watermelon Sugar furniture shop and Fells Point’s Treason Toting Company and the Sutton-designed Cannon Room at the Pendry (“the sexiest cocktail bar in the city," he says).

Also included is Fells Point’s recently opened Tagliata restaurant (the article says it’s “opening very soon,” but we know better), which Sutton says he also designed. “Think Tuscan farmhouse, reinvented in soft oatmeal and blush hues, with gauzy drapes and soft seating in the piano lounge," he gushes.

The article, published Aug. 10 and compiled by Jeanne LaSala, refers to Baltimore as an “under-the-radar East Coast city” that’s “on the up-and-up.”

Amazingly, nowhere in the article is Baltimore referred to as quirky. Hampden, however, is tagged the city's “hipster haven.”
