Taylor Swift approves Frederick farm's corn maze ... because it looks like her

Taylor Swift posts photo of Frederick farm's corn maze designed in her likeness on Instagram.

Call the Frederick tourism board: On Monday, Taylor Swift publicly showed love to the area, albeit in a way few would have predicted.

The country-turned-pop megastar posted a photo of Summers Farm’s latest corn maze design, titled “Taylor Swift – Dare to Be Different.” Watch a flyover view of 12-acre maze above, or explore it in person at the farm’s 19th annual Fall Harvest Festival from Sept. 26 to Nov. 1.

Swift, the most popular Instagram user with 46.6 million followers, posted the image with the caption “Lawn goals.” As of Tuesday morning, the post had more than a million “likes” and 10,000 comments. A sample comment from user “inspired_swift”: “OMG OMG OMG THIS PERSON SLAYED[.]” User “swifties.cant.stop.moving” had more ambitious plans, writing, “When I’m rich I’mma get that lawn[.]”

Swift, however, did not credit the farm or indicate where the maze was located.

Over the years, the corn maze at Summers Farm (5620 Butterfly Lane) has reflected a wide range of topics. Last year, it was a celebration of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and in 2013 it featured a huge Ravens logo. Take a look at previous mazes and find more information about the festival here.
