The actress, on behalf of circus elephants, sent Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake a letter before Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey brought their three rings to 1st Mariner Arena. Pinkett-Smith wanted the mayor to make sure no pachyderms were poked with bullhooks while they were on her old stamping grounds. The mayor essentially yawned and wondered why Pinkett Smith wasn't so concerned about real Baltimore problems like homelessness or the schools.
