Not Lady Gaga but Sen. Mikulski visits Perry Hall shooting victim

He may have been dreaming of a visit from Lady Gaga, but Perry Hall shooting victim Daniel Borowy settled for one from Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski.

Mikulski sweetened the pot, however, by bringing the special education student a letter from the first lady -- complete with a photo of Mrs. Obama posing with Bo -- and a U.S. Senate ball cap.

Borowy was shot on the first day of school this year and was hospitalized for weeks -- in critical condition for days. After several surgeries, he is back home and recovering.

In the aftermath of the shooting, Borowy's classmates attempted to raise his spirits by campaigning for Lady Gaga, his music idol, to visit him in the hospital.

A viral social media campaign ensued, garnering the attention from local media, Ravens players and even the famous bakers over at Charm City Cakes.

Gaga never made it, but her people were reportedly planning to send him something.
