Michael Voltaggio unveils shoes for chefs

While Bryan Voltaggio was making headlines with plans to open a restaurant in Baltimore, his brother Michael was kicking around some news himself.

The Frederick native and Top Chef winner has teamed up with OTZ shoes to create a line of footwear for chefs called "Culinary Brigade."

According to Zappos.com, this is "one comfortable sneak that will have you raring to go for any adventure."

If the promotional video featuring Michael Voltaggio is a guide, "any adventure" includes sauteeing, drizzling sauces, stepping into a walk-in freezer and flexing your buff and beautifully tattooed arms.

It's unclear just what role Michael Voltaggio, chef at the West Hollywood, Calif. restaurant Ink, played in creating the shoe, but apparently his responsibilities also include posting reviews of the shoes on Zappos.

A review posted under Voltaggio's name says, "Finally, this is a shoe that I can wear on and off the clock. They're comfortable, durable and slip-resistant which is essential in the work place and out on the town."
