12 things to look forward to in 2013 [Pictures]
It doesn't have an election (thank goodness!) or an Olympics on its schedule, but that doesn't make 2013 any less anticipated than the year we've just endured. Here are 12 anniversaries, celebrations or other events to look forward to over the coming 12 months.

The O's
For the first time in way-too-many-years, Orioles fans can look forward to building on the success of the previous season when baseball begins anew in April. The Orioles made the playoffs in 2012, after a 14-year drought, and many fans can't wait for 2013's first pitch -- which will come April 2, in Tampa. The home opener is April 5, against Minnesota.
