Saint Valentine's Day is clouded by various fanciful legends. Exactly for whom the holiday is named for is still a mystery. One thing that is clear is that the celebration of love is the intention of the holiday. Once only celebrated in a handful of nations, cupid has spread around the world and celebrated and reviled in many cultures these days.
