Everyman Theatre's Winter Gala
Jon Kaplan, left, Adam May and Derek Valcourt
Guests at Everyman Theatre's Winter Gala saw red. Red was everywhere at the theatre, in the lighting, dining table centerpieces, and all over the festively attired guests. The "Paint The Town Red" theme wasn't just a good tie-in for the holiday season. It also referred to the play "Red," which was finishing its run there.
The folks in charge certainly led by example, starting with the event co-chairs. Dr. Stan Miller sported a red bow tie with his tux, while his wife, Laurie Miller, was wrapped in a scarlet Badgely Mischka gown. Ian Tresselt, managing director, modeled a gray checked suit with red tie and pocket square. And Vincent Lancisi, artistic director, said he had made a beeline to Nordstrom as soon as holiday apparel went on display so he would have a cheerful red-striped tie.
Susan Flanigan, board chair, had gone the furthest for her cocktail dress, a crimson floral number she bought in Tokyo.
