When it comes to fashion, Christina Hernandez, 35, is a party girl -- strictly when it comes to style, that is.
"I like sparkle. I am drawn to party clothes when I am shopping. I just wish I could wear a party dress every day," says the Federal Hill resident.
However, for Maritime Magic -- which raises money for Living Classrooms Foundation's programs for at-risk Baltimore youths -- the American Neurological Association executive coordinator chose not to go with a favored frock.
"I knew it was going to be chilly outside. I came to this event last year in a dress, and I was freezing. So I just decided that I'm wearing jeans," she said. "[But] I threw on sparkle. Sequins and a statement necklace will always dress something up."
HER STYLE: "Vintage-inspired. I love modern trends, but I love to add a splash of vintage in there, to change it up a little bit. So it's not the same thing."
HER ENSEMBLE: Multi-strand black bead necklace that's about 10 years old. Elizabeth & James gray scoop neck T-shirt with black faux leather short sleeves from Century 21 in New York City. Vintage black sequin and beaded black silk jacket from What Comes Around Goes Around in Los Angeles. Straight-leg James Jeans from Barneys in San Francisco. Black patent leather ruched peep-toe Aldo booties. Black Phillip Lim for Target handbag. Cubic zirconia stud earrings from TJ Maxx.
GOING THE EXTRA MILE FOR STYLE: "[The Phillip Lim for Target line] launched on the 15th. It was last Saturday. ... I got up very early and strategically selected the Target I would go to, and scored this [handbag]."
ALSO ON HUNT FOR THIS FALL: "Booties. I'm really looking for a couple pair of booties. And something plaid."
