Glimpsed at Mother's Federal Hill Grille: Laura Lindsay
Laura Lindsay, 25, put some thought into the outfit she wore to the "Date Night Auction" at Mother's Federal Hill Grille. The reason? The Mount Washington resident was one of the couple dozen folks being "auctioned" off for a date to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Pleasant Plains Elementary School fifth-grade teacher picked out a mustard silk asymmetrically layered Silence & Noise dress from Urban Outfitters, which she paired with nude patent leather Xappeal pumps from Rack Room Shoes. "I like a trendy style, but with clean lines." She added a brown fold-over envelope clutch from South Moon Under, a Style & Co. watch from Macy's and a matte bronze and crystal studded link bracelet from J. Crew, that her student teacher had just given to her. For her focal point, Lindsay went for a bronze and coral disc necklace she found at Francesca's Collections. "I like statement piece jewelry, which I find a lot at Francesca's. I think [getting] simply dressed up is better, with plain pieces, not fussy. But, I like to stand out from the crowd in a hot color." Mission accomplished.
