Nerd Nite Baltimore

Jeff Riling, GHD environmental engineer, and Chris Turro, Space Telescope IT field engineer

The first Nerd Nite Baltimore attracted a full house at De Kleine Duivel. More than 100 people gathered to share a drink with other "nerds" and listen to three speakers on their area of expertise: NASA astrophysicist Amber Straughn on the upcoming launch of the James Webb Space Telescope; Trash Free Maryland director Julie Lawson on the psychology and ecology of litter; and psycholinguistics expert Neil Bardhan on how your nose affects how you speak.
