Glimpsed at Work: Laura Mixter

It’s all about that “pop of color” for Baltimore Museum of Art development assistant Laura Mixter. The 23-year-old Federal Hill resident was certainly kickin' it when we “glimpsed” her grabbing lunch at Gertrude's at the BMA. She'd started with neutrals; a white cotton v-neck tunic that featured puffed short sleeves and a ruffle at the neckline with black summerweight wool straight-leg pants, both from Banana Republic, and basic jewelry pieces of a gold circle pendant and pearl stud earrings. Then, Mixter added bright yellow patent leather Taryn Rose peep toe pumps, and orange enameled gold disc bracelet from Ann Taylor, and a pink leather large Kooba hobo bag from Nordstrom. It all adds up to a self-described style of “preppy with a few interesting pieces mixed in; J. Crew with a mix of Anthropologie.”
