Glimpsed at Work: Gus Augustus

Gussener "Gus" Augustus, Jr., 41, obeys the rules on the job as the director of the Mayor's Office of Neighborhoods. But, when it comes to his personal fashion sense, it's "classic with no rules." Augustus goes for classic pieces, but with interesting textures and colors. And he's not afraid to combine them, like what we "glimpsed" him wearing on his lunch break in the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLTRA000101" title="Inner Harbor" href="/topic/travel/tourism-leisure/inner-harbor-PLTRA000101.topic">Inner Harbor</a>. The Hunting Ridge resident wore a brown, gray and blue Glen plaid suit from Rocky's Custom Clothes in California, which is also where he got his blue and white striped shirt with white collar. His tan, brown and blue rep tie by <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PRDCAS0000505" title="Joseph Abboud" href="/topic/services-shopping/clothing-accessories-shoes/joseph-abboud-PRDCAS0000505.topic">Joseph Abboud</a>, gold rimmed aviator sunglasses and his Allen Edmonds tan wingtips came from Nordstrom. His gold and white plaid pocket square is Hickey Freeman. "I stick with classic patterns and colors. That way, you can't go wrong. No matter how fashion-forward you get."
