Ask Frank McNeil, 49, to describe his style, and his answer is "preppy. It's always been preppy. When I'm off work, I always wear khakis and loafers." Needless to say, his preppy style was evident at work when we "glimpsed" the Guilford resident at his job as assistant vice president and community consultant for the Greater Maryland Community Development Banking department at PNC Bank. McNeil was dapper in a subtle gray Glen-plaid Brooks Brothers suit with a blue and yellow Tattersall plaid Brooks Brothers shirt and navy, blue and gold rep bowtie from -- you guessed it -- Brooks Brothers. Brooks Brothers is also where he bought his cap-toed black oxfords. His pocket square was a white Irish linen handkerchief and his black leather Bulgari belt was a gift. McNeil says he always carries a pen, usually this black Montblanc that he's had for 15 years. And he always his U.S. Naval Academy 1983 class ring. He bought his gold Rolex oyster chronometer watch in Cabo San Lucas. Oh, and the U.S. flag pin was a bow to his years as a U.S. Marine.
