Glimpsed at Work: Lateisha Melvin

Lateisha Melvin, 17, is a great example of how to be "trendy and thrifty" while displaying lots of style. We "glimpsed" the Baltimore School for the Arts senior in one of the school's dance studios where she spends much of her time. The Baltimore city resident wore a drapey melon cotton American Eagle tank with light chambray Old Navy capri cargo pants that had drawstring sides. Over that, she'd put a khaki safari jacket from Forever 21, and a multi-color fringe scarf that was a gift. She found her madras Sperry top-siders at Journeys and her big silver hoop earrings were a gift. They're also one of her must'haves. "I always have on big earrings. And I always have a big necklace or scarf with an oversized shirt." She says the trick is to then balances the look with leggings or skinny pants.
