Amanda Schiavino, 26, has a strong sense of aesthetics in her work as a furniture designer at Crate & Barrel, and in her personal style, which she describes as "timeless, but sometimes with an edge." That style always involves lots of color. The Sparks resident demonstrated it at the "Pretty for Preakness" shopping and wine tasting event at Cupcake, put on by the House of Ruth Maryland Young Professionals Group. She sported a blue short-sleeve Banana Republic dress with beaded yoke, over which she'd tossed a raspberry featherweight cotton cardigan from Ann Taylor Loft. Then, she added mustard patent leather Steve Madden ballet flats and a tote from the Louis Vuitton store. Her cubic zirconia stud earrings and pendant came from Accents. She bought her Swiss Army watch at Smythe Jewelers and her tennis bracelet at J. Brown Jewelers.
