Shelene Young, 36, is the picture of cool summer "urban chic," even if the temperatures at The African American Festival were hovering around 100. The USDA management analyst beat the heat in a double-layer cream Kenar blouson tank from Nordstrom over a brown camisole, and cream crocheted shorts from topshop.com. Her cream leather flat sandals with pearls, gold chain and ribbon ankle wraps also came from topshop.com. The Burtonsville resident got her straw fedora online as well, although she couldn't remember where. She picked up her cream Renato Angi shoulder bag at Nordstrom. Her bangles came from a variety of places, including Bebe and Forever 21. Her triple-strand coin necklace and vintage chandelier earrings are both things she's had for years. Young admits "I'm often monochromatic in neutrals. Then I pop it with accessories. I try not to go over the top. People think I overdress. But that's just my style."
