Glimpsed at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum: Emily Hunter

Emily Hunter, 36, keeps a style that's "classic, with a little jazziness" by planning her outfits around her shoes. In the case of the "Celebration of the Arts" reception for Aaron Maybin's "Project Mayhem" foundation, the Patterson Park Public Charter School assistant principal began with a pair of black ultra suede Christian Louboutins that featured oh-so-chic fringe. "I saw them at Neiman Marcus' Last Call. They had been marked down to around $500 from something outrageous. I said, 'I have to get these.' When I brought them to the cashier, they'd been red-dotted and were actually down to $300." As the Owings Mills resident built her outfit around it, she put on a long black skirt from Target, which she pulled up and folded under, making it a pencil skirt. Then, she added a black sequined tube top from Off 5th, a white blazer from Express, and a zebra-striped bugle bead evening bag from Neiman Marcus. Her Forever 21 pearl and crystal cuff was a gift from a student. The gunmetal chain and crystal earrings, and black and white crystal ring were also gifts.
