Glimpsed on the Town: Brenda Wilson
Freelance arts and video producer Brenda Wilson may not want to reveal her age. "I'm forever 39, and I'm sticking to that story," the Bolton Hill resident says with a laugh. However, one thing the freelance arts and video producer freely admits is that her style is "very bohemian." Wilson looked every bit an ageless, summery free spirit at the Wynton Marsalis concert benefiting the Living Classrooms Foundation at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. She breezed in wearing a strapless turquoise and brown batik-print maxi-dress from Boston Proper. "I actually sew. If I see something I like that I can sew, I won't buy it. But, that's not the case with Boston Proper." Wilson picked up her fabulous turquoise and brown crocheted disc earrings with seed beading from a vendor at Honfest. "She actually works with women in Guatemala who make these. So, it's shopping with a purpose." She's had her brown wedge slide sandals with wood and bugle bead embellishment for awhile. And she found her brown pashmina at a store that sells goods from India. "Generally, I have to be comfortable. I don't like wearing anything constricting. So, I can breathe and have a good time in it." 7/8/10 -- BALTIMORE, MD. -- Brenda Wilson, glimpsed at the Wynton Marsalis pre-concert reception.
