Gay Vietzke has a passion for historic preservation. She came to Baltimore in 2005 as the U.S. Park Service superintendent of both Fort McHenry and the Hampton National Historic Site. Before that, she was superintendent of Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, Theodore Roosevelt's home in New York. This is Vietzke's desk in her office at Fort McHenry's brand new visitor center.
