Howard senior Christine London is having a memorable senior year. Last month she won three events (the hurdles, 55- and 300-meter dashes) at the Ivan Walker Memorial Howard County championship meet, leading the Lions to the team title. And now she is preparing to defend her 3A state hurdles title next Tuesday at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex. Then, she'll get ready to defend her state titles in the outdoor 100- and 300-hurdles this spring.
But first, London took time out of her busy schedule for a 30-second timeout with us.

TV show I can't miss:
I just saw Django (Unchained), and I really liked that. It's funny.
Favorite prerace warm-up song:
'Till I Collapse, by Eminem
Best personal sports moment:
My sophomore year in the 300 hurdles, because I fell in the 100 hurdles, and then I was able to come back. I was third coming into the straightaway, but I just pushed hard and I was able to beat Towson girls to the end. That was my first state championship win and that was the most memorable.
Hobby I have or had in the past that might surprise people:
I used to do gymnastics and was competitive in that for three or four years, did it for about seven years. I really liked that. That's what led into track and the hurdles.
Top athletic role model:
I have to say Sally Pearson. She's a hurdler, she won the Olympics last year. I just love her hurdle form. I would love to model her technique, because she has some of the best technique I've seen in a hurdler.

When I grow up:
I want to be a physical therapist.
