River Hill's Lauer named National Cross Country Coach of the Year

One of the county’s longest tenured coaches has received some well-deserved recognition on the national level. River Hill’s Early Lauer, who has spent more than four decades in Howard County coaching wrestling, cross country and track in a variety of roles, was selected by the National Federation of State High School Associations Coaches Association as 2012 National Coach of the Year for boys cross country.
