Mt. Hebron's first annual Viking Duals tournament started off great for the home team, as the Vikings defeated Carver (83-0), Westlake (81-0), Bowie (66-6), Aberdeen (56-19) and Franklin (44-30), but ended abruptly, as icy conditions postponed the second day of the tournament, which may or may not be made up. DeMatha was also undefeated on the first day of the tournament, and the two teams were scheduled to face each other on day two.

Mt. Hebron's Joe Kendrick (145) was 5-0 on the day with two pins, two forfeits and a 15-0 tech fall. Freshman Jeff Hayden (106) was also undefeated, scoring 26 of a possible 30 points. Antonio Vogt (182), Ryan Hassan (220) and Alex Krysnki (285) won all five of their matches, each recording a pair of pins. Patrick Wethington (195) also added five wins to his record, with all of them coming by forfeit.
