McDonogh graduate Taylor Cummings was named MVP of this year's Under Armour All-American game, which was played at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium early Saturday evening. Cummings, an Ellicott City resident, scored five goals and added three assists and 11 draw controls as South defeated North, 25-13.
It is only the second time the South team has won in the game's seven-year history.
Anne Zabel, a recent graduate of Marriotts Ridge, was a defender on the victorious South team.
Cummings, a two-time Baltimore Sun Athlete of the Year, will play for the University of Maryland. Zabel will play for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
