Volleyball

The Maryland Juniors Volleyball Club will be holding a 2013-14 season information meeting on Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Maryland Juniors Sports Center in Jessup. Individuals will have the chance to meet the coaches and ask questions.

The Eastcoast Elite Volleyball Club will be holding tryouts for its 13- and 16-year-old teams. An information session will be held Oct. 27 from 3-5 p.m. at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center. Email eastcoastelitevolleyball@gmail.com with questions.

Lacrosse

The George Washington girls High School/Middle School Lacrosse Clinic at Trinity School in Ellicott City is being held on Oct. 27 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. There are sessions for 6th through 8th grade, in addition to 9th through 12th grade. This is an opportunity to prepare for fall tournaments with top-notch instruction from GW staff, including assistant coaches Bria Eulitt and Kristy Black, who are both former Howard County stars. Soccer

The fall session of Mighty Kicks soccer begins Oct. 19 and goes through Dec. 14 (eight weeks) at Pristine Sports Training Academy in Joppa. Basketball

Western Howard County Basketball is accepting registration for its recreation teams for the 2013-2014 season. Go to whcybasketball.com to find out more.

Howard County Youth Program is now accepting registrations for the 2013-14 basketball season. HCYP Basketball provides programs for boys and girls ages 6-18. Register online at hcyp.org for immediate placement.

Registration is now open for the Elkridge Youth Organization winter basketball program. Registration ends Oct. 31, but register early as some leagues do fill up. EYO basketball features co-ed (at younger ages), boys and girls leagues. Games are played at Elkridge area schools. All players ages 5-18 are welcome.
