Baseball

The 12U Undertaker baseball program, an expansion of the Maryland Chill softball charter, is looking to establish itself in the Howard County region. The team will continue the formation of its new team with final tryouts on Aug. 17 (9 a.m.). Tryouts will be held at the Columbia Chinese Baptist Church (5005 Waterloo Rd, Ellicott City). Tryouts for the 12U HCYP Raiders travel baseball program's A and B teams will be held throughout the month of August. New players are asked to attend two of the three tryout dates. All tryouts will be conducted at Kiwanis-Wallas Park in Ellicott City. Tryouts will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, on Field 6; 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, on Field 6; and 12-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, on Field 1. The 12U Raiders A team plans to play in one or two fall tournaments and several summer tournaments, culminating with a week-long tournament in Cooperstown, NY, in July. The WHC Renegades 19U Travel baseball team will be holding tryouts for the 2014 season on Aug. 18 from 2-4 p.m. at Glenelg High School. For information contact Garrett Sancomb at sancomb@yahoo.com or 443-878-3880.

Atholton Youth Recreation Association (AYRA) will conduct tryouts for its 2014 13U (players born after April 30, 2001) travel team on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 12-2 p.m. at Schooley Mill Park. The team will play in the spring MABA travel league, as well as three to four tournaments throughout the season. Flag football

The BullDog Flag Football League, which is sanctioned and certified by the United States Flag & Touch League, will be hosting its 23rd season this fall. Volleyball

Maryland Juniors Volleyball Club is hosting 15-under (12-15) and 11-under (8-11) fall volleyball clinics beginning on Aug. 28. Go to http://www.mdjrs.org for details.

Soccer

Mighty Kicks soccer will start an eight-week fall session Saturday, Sept. 7 at 9 a.m. Mighty Kicks soccer is geared toward those players too young (ages 2-6), and of all skill levels, who are not quite ready for the club atmosphere. The SAC United Premier White U13 Girls team ('00-'01) is holding Supplemental Tryouts on Aug. 13 at 5:30-7 p.m. and Aug. 15 at 7-8:30 p.m. at Glenelg Country School.
