Golf

The First Tee of Howard County is holding its 12th annual charity golf outing on Wednesday, Aug. 7. The event will be held at Fairway Hills. There is a 12:30 Shotgun start, scramble style golf. All of the funds raised by the event go to providing the First Tee experience to almost 1,000 youngsters. Tickets are $200 per golfer, which includes lunch and dinner, and can be purchased at http://www.thefirstteehowardcounty.org or by calling 410-730-1114.

Basketball

Camp Grace will hold its annual Fundamental and Shooting Clinics this summer for boys and girls ages nine to 17. Go to leadershipthroughathletics.org for more information.

HYBA is now accepting registrations for the fall 2013 Friday night basketball league for boys and girls first grade through 12th grades. The Chenier-Wingfield Basketball Camp will be held at Wilde Lake High School for two weeks this summer, June 29-Aug. 2 and Aug. 5-9, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Camp is open to boys and girls ages eight and up. Soccer

The U-18G ASA Vipers soccer team is seeking a full-time goalie and a few skilled field players to play in college showcases for the fall and spring seasons. The team also plays WAGS Division 1 in the spring and consists of sophomores, juniors and few seniors. Interested players should call 443-285-2466 for tryout information.

The Central Maryland Soccer Association is currently accepting team registration for the fall season, scheduled to begin the weekend of Sept. 7-8. The league is open to all USSF affiliated school, recreation travel and club level teams. CMSA offers separate Saturday and Sunday leagues providing competition for both boys and girls teams in the single-age groupings of eight through 14 and the dual-age groups of 16 and 18U. Ages seven through 12 will compete 8v8, with ages 12-17 competing 11v11. CMSA is affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation through its membership with US Club Soccer and the Soccer Association for Youth national organizations.
