Soccer

The Thunder Soccer Club U14 girls Siafu is holding tryouts on June 3 and 5 at the Hammond High School turf field from 7:30-9 p.m. The team competes in the Region 1 League and some of the top tournaments in the country. Tennis

The Columbia Tennis Committee and the Wilde Lake Tennis Center will host the Columbia NTRP Open June 7-10. This USTA sanctioned tournament is open to USTA members 18 years of age and older with ratings between 3.0 and 4.5+. Men and women's singles and doubles brackets are offered and players can enter up to two draws. This tournament is part of the USTA/Maryland NTRP Points race. Accumulate points by playing in NTRP tournaments and qualify for the Maryland NTRP Grand Prix Championships. Register online at http://tennislink.usta.com, and use tournament number 300031913. Entry deadline is 6/2/13. Fee is $38.13 for singles and $20 for doubles. Football

Online registration for Ellicott City Patriots Youth Football and Cheer (and brand new Poms) fall sports is now open. Players aged 5-14 will be placed on teams based on age, weight, and experience. Go to http://www.ecpatriots.com for registration forms and more information. The EC Patriots are also looking for head coaches, assistant coaches, and administrative helpers.

Sports International will be holding a variety of youth football camps this summer at McDaniel College in Westminster. Camps include: passing receiving academy from June 21-23; kicking, punting and long snapping from June 26-27; Ladarius Webb and Josh Morgan football camp from June 27-30; and Maryland youth football day camp from July 19-20. Summer camps

The Glenelg High School Booster's Club offers summer sports camp instruction. Go to glenelgboosters.com for camp schedules and registration information. Camps are open to current 5th-8th graders (incoming 6th-9th graders, 2013-2014).

Camp Inclusion, is a camp based on forming friendships between students with and without learning disabilities, much like the Best Buddies program. Camp Inclusion is a sports and crafts camp which focuses on reinforcing concepts the students have learned throughout the school year. Lacrosse

Tom Marechek's All Pro Lacrosse offers several instructional camps this summer in the Baltimore area. The Maryland Boys' Day Camp will be held at St. Timothy's School from June 24-27, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. $350 cost includes lunch. The Maryland Girls' Overnight Camp, featuring instruction from Gary Gait, will be held at St. Timothy's School from July 8-11, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (day) or 9-8:30 p.m. (extended), or overnight. The Maryland Boys' Overnight Camp, featuring a special appearance by Steele Stanwick, will be held at Goucher College from July 8-11, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (day) or 9-8:30 p.m. (extended), or overnight.
