Volleyball

The Maryland Juniors Volleyball Club is hosting a series of juniors volleyball summer programs. The camps and clinics were designed to meet the need of all different level of juniors volleyball players. It includes all skill camp, specific technique clinics, pre-high school tryout camp and beginner camp. Go to http://www.mdjrs.org for information and an application form.

Soccer

Registration is underway for the Our Lady of Victory fall soccer program. Register online at http://www.olvsoccer.com or in person May 5 (10 a.m.-2 p.m.) or May 17 (3-7 p.m.) at the school, 4416 Wilkens Ave., Baltimore.

DC United and the Thunder Soccer Club are combining to offer a free soccer clinic, April 26 from 4-7 p.m. at SoccerDome 1, 7330 Montevideo Road, Jessup. The clinic will offer skills competitions, prizes, giveaways and photo/autograph opportunities with DC United. Call 443-545-4034.

Lacrosse

Buffalo Wild Wing lacrosse is continuing tryouts for its U-13 boys summer team April 25, 6-7:30 p.m., at Chapelgate Christian Academy, 2600 Marriottsville Road, Marriottsville. The stadium is in the back of the school's property. Email godzilevsky@gmail.com with questions or if interested in other age groups.

Registration is being accepted for Howard Boys Lacrosse Camp scheduled for July 16-19 (9 a.m.-noon) at Howard High School in Ellicott City. Sign-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. behind the school. The camp is open to student-athletes entering grades 6-9 this fall. All participants will need helmet, gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, mouth piece, cleats, a stick and a reversible jersey. The Mt. Hebron girls lacrosse will be held June 11-18, 5-8 p.m., at Mt. Hebron High School. The camp is for girls in grades 1-8. Both fundamentals and advanced skills will be taught. Registration forms are available at mthebrongirlslax.com.

Cheerleading

All Pro All Stars Cheerleading and Dance will be holding tryouts for their all star cheerleading and hip hop dance teams 2-6 p.m., May 13 and 6-9 p.m., May 16. The Maryland Marlins All-Stars are hosting their first spring clinic on Fri., April 20 from 6-7:30 p.m. for participants ages 7-18. Get instruction and tips on improving your cheerleading and tumbling skills for your current team or for all-star/school tryouts. Cost: $5. The Marlins have teams available for ages 4-18. Sat., April 21, 8 a.m., Ellicott City's Hills of Milltown 5k. This is a fundraiser for Blossoms of Hope.

Sun., April 22, 8:30 a.m., Savage Boys and Girls Club U-12 Red travel baseball team 5k and 1-mile fun run/walk. This is a fundraiser for the U-12 Red team's trip to Cooperstown this summer.

April 28, 8 a.m., Thunder Hill 5k and 1 mile fun run/walk at Thunder Hill Elementary School. This is a community outreach to promote health and wellness.

May 5, 9 a.m., Hope for the Homeless 5k trail race and 1 mile fun run/walk. This is a fundraiser for the Route 1 homeless shelter.

Reservoir High School will hold its sixth annual Musical Madness 5k and 1k kids' fun run on May 12 in Maple Lawn. The race starts at 8 a.m. and the post-race festival will include food and prizes from race sponsors and musical performances by Reservoir students. Musical Madness is a fundraiser for the Reservoir music program. Go to musicalmadness.wikispaces.com for details.

The Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association Central Maryland Chapter is holding its annual Race for Excellence 5k and 1-mile fun run. Miniature golf

Join Maryland women's basketball coach Brenda Frese for the annual Miniature Golf Day, May 5, at Columbia SportsPark, 5453 Harper's Farm Road. on Saturday, May 5 at Columbia SportsPark, 5453 Harper's Farm Road, Columbia. The event, coordinated by the Rebounders — the official booster group of Maryland women's basketball, will feature a Terp-themed course, along with a moon bounce, batting cages, games, prizes, a silent auction and lunch.

Student-athletes, assistant coaches, former players, former coaches and fans, will be on hand for a day of mini-golf, food, fun and friendship. Fee: $40 (individual golfer), $120 (foursome). Event proceeds benefit the Maryland women's basketball program. Pre-registration is required. Email daphne@umrebounders.com.
