Baseball

Spring registration is open for AYRA baseball. Leagues are available for all players ages 5-18 and the season runs from April 1 thru the end of the school year. AYRA provides a youth baseball program central to Clarksville, Columbia, Fulton, Maple Lawn, North Laurel, Savage and Simpsonville communities. Visit ayra.com for details.

Bocce

The Howard County Bocce League is accepting registrations for the 2013 Spring League. Two leagues will be offered - Saturday morning and/or Tuesday evening. Community Sports Hall of Fame

Nomination forms are available for the 2013 Community Sports Hall of Fame through the Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks. The deadline is April 15. The Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding individuals who have gained prominence in or made substantial contributions to community recreational sports in Howard County. Lacrosse

The M&D 2016 Girls Club Lacrosse team is hosting a series of youth lacrosse clinics at The Trinity School (4985 Ilchester Road, Ellicott City). The clinics will be held April 21, April 28 and May 5. Age 5-7 clinics will be held from 2:30-4 each day, followed by an age 8-10 clinic from 4:30-6 each day. Attend all three dates for only $75 ($25 per clinic).

All skill levels welcome. Have fun while learning all aspects of the game. Participants are required to bring goggles, mouth guard, lacrosse stick, water bottle and athletic footwear. Parents are encouraged to attend with their daughters and a "parent clinic" will be held at 4 p.m. on each date (teaching the basics of girls lacrosse), while the M&D 2016 Girls will conduct an intra-squad scrimmage. Cheer and Dance

The All Pro All Stars Cheer and Dance teams of Elkridge competed at the Maryland State Cheerstarz Cheer and Dance competition on March 23. Team Radiant (Senior Level 3 Cheer) won first place and Level 3 Grand Champion, Team Dazzle (Senior Level 2 Cheer) won first place and Level 2 Grand Champion, Team Sparkle (Youth Level 1 Cheer) won third place, Team Flash (Senior Hip-Hop) won first place and best choreography. The entire All Pro All Stars Cheer and Dance program was awarded the sportsmanship award as well.
