Football and cheer

The Ellicott City Patriots Youth Football and Cheer Program is seeking volunteer coaches for the upcoming 2013 season. The Patriots are looking for strong leaders for mentoring ages five through 14.

The football program needs head and line coaches, along with team administrators. The Cheer and Poms programs need assistant, conditioning, dance, tumbling and competition routine coaches. Booster camps

If you are looking for a fun way to introduce future Golden Bears to Hammond athletics, or simply help younger students gain additional skills, consider the Hammond High School Boosters Camps this summer. The camps are for students entering grades 2-9, with programs for nearly all athletic programs, from baseball to wrestling to cheerleading. Camps are open to all, not just future Hammond students, and early registration ends May 31.

Golf

The Waverly Woods Ladies Golf League will hold an organizational meeting on April 2 at 9 a.m. at the Waverly Woods Pro Shop at 2100 Warwick Way in Marriottsville. The 18-hole league plays on Tuesday mornings. A continental breakfast will be served. After the meeting, members may play nine holes for cart fee only. Baseball

Spring registration is open for AYRA baseball. Leagues are available for all players ages 5-18 and the season runs from April 1 thru the end of the school year. AYRA provides a youth baseball program central to Clarksville, Columbia, Fulton, Maple Lawn, North Laurel, Savage and Simpsonville communities. Visit ayra.com for details.
