Professional Baseball Training is offering a Spring Break camp on Thursday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a full day of baseball instruction and other fun activities with the staff of PBT. Participants will be provided with a mid-morning fruit snack and pizza lunch. PBT is located at TZ Sports, at 6400 Ridge Road in Eldersburg. Camp is for ages 7-12. Cost is $75 per camper.
The regular meeting of "Talkin' Baseball" will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 9 a.m. at Brighton Gardens, 7110 Minstrel Way in Columbia. The speaker will be Dick Heller, the dean of Washington sportswriters. Call 410-740-1145 for more information.
AYRA Spring 2013 Baseball registration is open. Leagues are available for all players ages 5-18. Visit http://www.ayra.com for details. The season runs from April 1 to the end of school year. AYRA provides a youth baseball program central to Clarksville, Columbia, Fulton, Maple Lawn, North Laurel, Savage and Simpsonville communities.
Team registration is currently being accepted for the US Club Soccer's 2013 Maryland Cup scheduled for June 1 and 2 at and around the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. The tournament offers recreational travel and premier travel divisions and is open to boys and girls' age groups from U10 to U19. Winners in the premier travel division earn a free berth onto US Club regional competition. The application deadline is May 1, 2013. The Ellicott City Patriots Youth Football, Cheer and Poms program is holding preregistration for the upcoming 2013 fall season. Ensure you hold a spot on our teams by coming out this Saturday, March 23, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Howard County Recreation and Parks Building (7120 Oakland Mills Road, Columbia, side entrance). The First Tee of Howard County has added a new class for spring 2013. If you are new to The First Tee and are between the ages of 12 and 15 we are offering a combined PLAYer/PAR class #150, beginning April 22.
