Taylor Hensh had scored for Marriotts Ridge in the first half, on an assist from Morgan Crable.

Hensh had an assist on Zadjura’s goal.

Two minutes after Zadjura’s goal, Samantha Creese took a pass from Sydney Peirce and scored for Glenelg to cut Marriotts Ridge’s lead.

“Morgan Hochuli was running right with her, but couldn't get a piece of the ball,” said Marriotts Ridge coach Robin Grey. “Creese’s shot went right past our keeper.”

Emily McQuarrie, playing for injured Jenna Bergquist, had nine saves. She “had a great night. She came up big with a number of saves to help secure the win,” said Grey.

Lindsey Mazer had nine saves for Glenelg.

“The girls played their best game of the season tonight,” said Glenelg coach Maureen Hammond. “We were unable to capitalize on same great opportunities."

“My girls came out strong from the start,” Grey said. “This was important, especially given the number of days they had off due to the storm.

“It was nice to have Taylor Hensh back in the line-up,” she added. “She made an immediate impact. We also finished tonight which is something that we've been struggling with as of late.”

Marriotts Ridge is now 9-5-1 overall. Glenelg finishes at 3-13.
