( Submitted photo / November 6, 2012 ) The Western Howard County Fever 16u team recently won the Oktoberfest Fastpitch Softball tournament hosted in Howard County. The team overcame multiple injuries and played up a level in the 18u age bracket to beat teams from Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Team members include, Allie Bluhm, Alex Cwalina, Grace Dingle, Faith Kujawa, Allie Jakubek, Shelby James, Sam Magee, Willow Newman, Kayli Paugh, Colleen Regan, Toria Yan and Kara Carney. Special thanks go to Mike Goheen for setting the foundation that allowed the Western Howard County Fever program to become one of the premier Softball programs in the state. |
