Top Flight Gymnastics in Columbia hosted the 2013 Maryland USAG Level 5 State Championships on April 20 and 21. Top Flight's Level 5 team placed first in the Small Team category, led by a very strong performance by Julia Heiner who placed first in all four events and had an all-around score of 38.55. Results:

Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD) hosted an estimated 710 basketball athletes, 120 coaches and 220 unified sports partners from all across the state of Maryland in Frederick March 23-24.

Jump rope

Twenty-one members of the Kangaroo Kids Competition Team competed at the USA Jump Rope Region 1 Championship on April 27 at the Meadowbrook Athletic Center. Finishers in the top five qualify to compete in the USA Jump Rope National Competition in Long Beach, California in June. The event featured 93 jumpers from eight different jump rope teams. Participating teams were from Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C. and West Virginia. Kangaroo Kids results:
