Marriotts Ridge scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to break open its game against visiting Wilde Lake March 27, eventually winning, 7-3, to improve to 2-0 on the young season.
Michael Dorsch came one out short of completing the game, and struck out five. Matt Marinelli had three hits for the Mustangs, while Ryan Miller and Kevin Francis each doubled and played outstanding defense in the outfield.
The two teams combined for 27 hits in the game: 14 by Marriotts Ridge and 13 by Wilde Lake.
Tommy Mee led the Wildecats with three hits, while Cuinn Mullins, Jack Skolnik, Kris Hines and Nick Wright had two hits each.
